There have been moments where I've quit immediately after an autosave icon appears and disappears, and reloaded to find I've been sent back in time to another autosave location instead. However, from my experience, this doesn't always appear to be entirely accurate. Theoretically, you'll know when an autosave has occurred by the small white icon that appears briefly in the top-right of your screen: It appears to autosave whenever you're approaching or entering a new location of the map, such as an Anti-Aircraft Site, along with certain story and mission beats. All saving is done through autosaves, and the game chooses when to autosave. It is not possible to manually save your game in Far Cry 6.

Players can choose how they approach each Rift and will uncover powerful weapons and tools along the way, and collect energy fragments scattered throughout the area, allowing them to revive and retry a Rift, if necessary.Watch on YouTube Can you save in Far Cry 6? In each distinctive Rift, such as a shattered fortress suspended in the sky and an underwater Esperanza full of deadly traps, players will encounter different dangers and otherworldly obstacles. To recover the missing shards, players will need to rely on their guerrilla skills to navigate through 15 challenging and intense trials called Rifts, where they must defeat Shardfaces, humanoid and animal crystalline enemies, lurking around every corner. Players will need to repair Fai’s broken spacecraft by collecting five lost shards, each increasing Dani’s overall stats for survivability, bringing them one step closer to escape. Following exploration of a mysterious meteorite impact site, Dani will discover themselves in a twisted space between worlds accompanied by a noncorporeal lifeform named Fai. This expansion will see players begin a new chapter of Dani Rojas’ story, set in a fractured version of Yara. During the Far Cry 6 expansion reveal livestream last week, Ubisoft announced that Lost Between Worlds, a new expansion coming to Far Cry 6, will be available tomorrow December 6.
